Support Group - Conception/Family Planning
Rainbow Families is delighted to announce a monthly Support Group for people investigating, or going through, assisted reproductive technology in their family planning journey.
This program is being facilitated by a licensed psychologist who specializes in reproductive health and is offered free-of-charge.
Dates are September 23, October 28, November 18 - and will continue in the New Year.
The meeting will take place at 5914 Hubbard Drive Rockville, MD 20852 - walkable from the White Flint Metro station. *NOTE the meeting is on the 2nd floor which requires utilizing stairs. If this is a concern, please reach out to us via email

Maybe Baby Class Overview:
The Maybe Baby series is designed for prospective parents, singled, married or partnered, who are considering parenthood and interested in learning more about the options for building a family. The series covers a wide range of topics, including readiness, overview of adoption, assisted reproduction, and surrogacy; financial and legal issues; building a support network; decision making as a couple or with a partner(s); considerations for single parenting; and the joys and challenges of being an LGBTQ+ headed family. The class is designed to provide a balance of active discussion and sharing, as well as to gain practical, accurate information that helps set the foundation for moving forward.

About: Our Family Camp Weekend provides LGBTQ+ families with the very unique opportunity to forge personal connections and build community with one another. Together, parents and children spend the entire weekend enjoying the outdoors!
Camp Tockwogh is in Warton Maryland, about a 2 hour drive from the DMV, and is a 309-acre family-friendly campground located on the Chesapeake Bay.

Fees: Registration fees depend on your housing selection, and range from $115-$160 per person (children and adults ages 3 and up). Registration includes accommodations for two nights, activities, and five meals.

Join us for a fun-filled day at the Rainbow Families outing to Cox Farm’s Pumpkin Madness, Saturday November 3, 2018 between 11am and 3pm.
Fun for all ages, this Rainbow Families annual tradition includes pumpkin-smashing, hayrides, live music, farm animals, a corn maze, slides, and more. Bring your used Jack O'Lanterns so they can be smashed and recycled!
Rainbow Families will have exclusive use of the John Deere Pavilion this year.
Cox Farms Reduced Admission: $10/person (infants under 18 months are free)

November is National Adoption Month! Join the DC Center and Rainbow Families on for Adoption Information Night for LGBTQ+ prospective parents. This event starts at 7 PM at the DC Center for the LGBT Community.
If you have considered parenthood, and have thought about adoption as a path-to-parenthood, then this event is for you! Come learn about domestic infant adoption, older child adoption, and foster-to-adopt. Meet other LGBTQ+ parents who are going through the adoption process. FREE information and inspiration! No commitment necessary!
