Rainbow Families is delighted to announce a new Support Group for our community.
We provide a monthly Support Group for individuals and couples that are pregnant or have babies up to 4 months old.
This program is facilitated by a licensed psychologist who specializes in reproductive health and is offered free-of-charge to Rainbow Families members
(nominal fee for non-members)

Rainbow Families is delighted to provide a monthly Support Group for people pursuing parenthood using Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART), including IUI, IVF, and surrogacy.
Please join DC Family & Youth Initiative for an informative session on Foster Care and Adoption ABCs
Topics include: the people (roles) in the life of a child in foster care, the court process, permanency plan goals, and some foster care policies and procedures.
This session is for all DCFYI volunteers, especially current or prospective mentors, host parent, and adoptive parents.

Rainbow Families is pleased to offer a monthly support group for prospective LGBTQ parents going through the adoption process, from starting the home-study process to the "waiting", and the steps in-between.
The group will be facilitated by an expert in the field of therapy, family counseling, mental health, youth, and families. She has a Masters degree and will soon complete her Doctorate.
Location: We will meet at a conference room in NW DC, near MacArthur Road and "W" Street. When you register, the exact location will be disclosed.
This group will meet monthly for 5 months.
Meetings are free of charge to Rainbow Families members. Non-members have a small administrative charge. No refunds.

It promises to be a fun FAMILY evening with music, food, fun, and of course, a children's costume parade. Kids of all ages are welcome.
Our host, Browne Academy, is immediately off the 495 Beltway at Telegraph Road, with ample parking.

Fun for all ages, the Rainbow Families Annual Family Outing to Cox Farm includes pumpkin-smashing, hayrides, live music, farm animals, a corn maze, hill slides, and lots of other activities. Be sure to bring your used Jack O'Lanterns so they can be smashed and recycled!
We reserved the new new Mini-Mo pavillion; you can come & go, use the 4 picnic tables for a space to eat, etc. We'll also take a group photo!
Admission is $12/person (under 24 months, no charge) for members, $14 for non-members. This discount rate includes entry plus rental of the Pavillion.
Rainbow Families will have a welcome table located near the Cox Farms Ticket Booth. Please visit us at the table to check in.

The fabulous and very engaging moderator is Trystan Angel Reese, who many of you will remember as the Keynote Speaker at our Family Conference on May 4th.
A variety of expert panelists will provide valuable information on this specific segment of pathways to parenthood for LGBTQ+ individuals and couples.
Thanks to Family Equality Council, this is being provided at no-charge. All are welcome.

MOCO Movement Center is offering Rainbow Families a fun one-hour activity session on Sunday December 15 2019
We will do a circle time greeting and then allow for free play to allow the kids to interact and give parents a chance to talk to each other. After the one-hour play session, participants may want to head out for a snack!
Space is limited to the first 20 kids who RSVP
This event is best for children 2 to 5 years. Parents will be with their kids.
What is Moco Movement? MOCO Movement Center is a fully inclusive pediatric therapy practice and athletic movement center. They offer movement classes for children of all ages and abilities and provide therapy services.
