A tradition dating back to 2003, the Rainbow Families Annual Family Conference offers LGBTQ+ families a full day of workshops, education, connections and inspiration. Additionally, we provide the opportunity to meet with affirming businesses and providers dedicated to being of service to the LGBTQ+ community every day.
This year’s theme, “Forward, Together…” speaks to our sheer resilience amid the many challenges & stresses we’ve endured, and continue to endure. We hope our theme brings to mind ideas of new life, regeneration, a brighter future.
Programming this year includes a few ‘back by popular demand’ items, along with many new items – designed to lift us up, inform and connect.
Saturday features a wonderful opening session to kick things off, then a full day of workshops on a wide range of topics from pathways to parenthood, mental health, diversity in our community, parenting and more.
Sunday showcases our School Fair, Kids Programming and of course – opportunities to visit live with key sponsors.
Significant Changes to our 2021 Virtual Program:
New ways for attendees, sponsors, and workshop presenters to connect with one another, including an “Expo” area of sponsors
Unlike traditional ‘zoom’ meetings, this year’s conference will be held in a more virtual format, more streamlined and easy to navigate
A Sunday “School Fair” specifically for our education partners and education-related workshops
From last year’s feedback, we have included scheduled break times for added interaction
An on-line automated process for raffle drawings
It’s been a year. And every one of us have been affected in ways large and small. Through it all, the Rainbow Families community has stood together, supported one another, and helped find joy and celebration. And we will continue to move, Forward Together.

Conference registration fees were reduced by 50% in 2020 to better support our community in the midst of the pandemic and resulting economic stress. Thanks to sponsor support this year, we are able to continue that in 2021. Please – choose to support these providers and businesses, who work with us and celebrate us, every day
We are offering an additional discount with our Early Bird registration – Just $39 for up to two people sharing one screen, until May 1.
After May 1st, the price will increase to $50.
